promise rings for couples have been the standard for engagement rings since forever. Solitaires are not all the same. A ring’s character can be completely changed by subtle design features. Three new solitaire designs of engagement rings are a perfect example. See the latest styles below.
SOLITAIRES WITH CLAW-PRONG SOLITAIRES
These solitaires have been designed to provide a simple yet customizable look. Our designers based this collection off of elements from our most popular rings. For example, the claw prongs on the Prague Ring and the simple setting for the peg head in our Tapered Classic Solitaire Rings. Claw Prong Solitaires can be ordered with either Round Brilliant or Princess cut Nexus Diamonds matching couple jewelry.
Who says that yellow gold is just for matching necklaces only? Not us. The prongs on the Elara Ring, in warm gold tones, create definition between the stones and show off the different shapes. You can wear it on any finger!
The design of this ring is a peghead. This means that the band and setting are separate pieces, not one piece. Our designers have taken this into account and created cathedral shoulders on shanks, meaning the band rises above the setting and creates a smooth and integrated look.
CATHEDRAL SOLITAIRES
First Love’s classic engagement ring has been updated. This ring now comes in a variety of stone shapes and weights including Round Brilliants, Cushions, Princesses and Emeralds. This design is meant to be simple, timeless and without frills.
The design is similar to the Claw Prong Solitaires. The cathedral-style shoulders flow up either side of this setting. It is more comfortable to wear because the profile feels smaller. The cathedral shoulders help to protect the setting as well from knocks and other bumps.
Please note that the prongs on these rings will always be white gold. This is true even if your band of choice is rose gold or yellow gold. White gold prongs seamlessly blend with the Nexus Diamond alternative.
IVY SOLITAIRE
Ivy Solitaire will appeal to active women who enjoy the outdoors. This new solitaire’s low profile and subtle leaves motif makes it beautiful yet sturdy.
The designers used subtle metalwork leaves and vines in the split-band design. The split band design has the appearance of a flower growing on a branch. However, it is actually an alternative Nexus Diamond. The band is low-profile, and the setting is built into it. This makes it very sturdy, and is ideal for an outdoorsy women who uses her hands a great deal.
Although the Ivy doesn’t have a matching ring, you can work with our design studio to create an eco-friendly band to compliment this engagement ring.
